Benedict puts on a sweater, in what apparently has become an ongoing series of CalArts lecture tests featuring animals messing around with clothes! This one was fun to do!

I could never do that

Some concepts for two characters of mine: blink and belly!!!  these aren’t their final colors.

Blink has eyes but is often not aware of its own surroundings - it finds it difficult to fully pay attention to the world around it. Belly can change the position, sharpness, and number of its teeth and it clicks them together in order to echolocate. It’s able to be more attentive and aware than blink.

i wanted to show them exploring each other, since they’d never experienced something like the other before meeting. belly had never encountered eyeballs and was very interested in them when feeling blink’s face, but you can’t really touch someone’s eyeballs with your feet…. and blink was fascinated with belly’s teeth and wanted to know how they were attached. it’s no great loss to belly to lose a tooth.

Hey folks!
This is a variant cover I did for “The Amazing World of Gumball,” published by Boom! Studios.  As with my “Bravest Warriors” cover, I only found out my “Gumball” cover will be published in October (apparently).  It’s a retailer incentive cover for issue #5.  I’m not sure which retailer, I really need to ask the folks at Boom for details.
Anyway, I’m glad I can finally show this because I am really, really pleased with how this came out!!!  They asked for something mixed media, so I went for something sort of like a classical painting.  I tried a new painting method in Photoshop to make it happen, and I think it’s largely a success.  I hope that you like it, too!

I made this improvised short film with my friend Marlo Meekins. She’s the funniest person I know. I filmed her improvising as Janine from Ghostbusters and then edited about an hour of footage down to a loose 10 minute story. It was fun! Really proud of it.

My queen.

We’re currently hard at work on Season 2 of Rick & Morty, but you can’t see any of that stuff yet!

In the meantime, pre-order the Season 1 Blu-Ray/DVD! And watch this commercial for that thing!

If you like Rick and Morty go pick up the BluDvdRay of season 1 Oct 7th! I did character designs on this season. Wubbalubbadubbaaafgfjlksgsg.
